This page is not final. 3 details are still to be confirmed, and it has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It is published so it can be checked, not relied upon.
1. Who you are paying
Purchases on Calmtree are made from Calmtree Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. GSTIN: to be confirmed before launch.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card or account details are handled by Razorpay and never reach Calmtree. On your statement the charge appears as to be confirmed before launch.
2. Individual purchases
Calmtree sells access to one or more areas of assessments, or to every area at once as the Calmtree Pass, for twelve months. Once you complete an assessment and a result is generated, the thing you bought has been delivered, and it cannot be returned.
So the rule is:
- Before you have used it: a full refund within 7 days from purchase, provided no assessment in that category has been completed.
- After a result has been generated: no refund once a result has been generated.
Two exceptions, and we will not argue about either. If you were charged twice for the same thing, we refund the duplicate. If a technical fault on our side stopped you reaching the result you paid for, and we cannot fix it, we refund in full regardless of the window.
Free assessments are free. Nothing in this section applies to them, and no payment details are ever requested for one.
3. Upgrading
If you buy one or more areas and later buy the Calmtree Pass, what you already paid for those areas is credited against the Pass price, for as long as that access is still live. You are not charged twice for the same access, and no refund is needed to make that true.
4. Organisation cycles
Organisations buy an improvement cycle: a year of work, priced by headcount and delivered as a set of assessments rather than as a period of access.
- The annual commitment: an improvement cycle is bought for a year and the commitment stands for that year; cancelling stops any future renewal rather than ending the current cycle.
- Assessments not yet run: no refund for assessments not yet run within a purchased cycle; unused assessments stay available until the cycle's end date.
- Adding people mid-cycle: seats can be added to a live cycle at any point and are invoiced separately at the annual rate; the per-employee rate is not re-quoted downward mid-cycle.
- Unpaid instalments: where a cycle is paid in instalments, an unpaid instalment pauses further assessments until it is settled; assessments already run are unaffected.
5. Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel. Calmtree does not store your payment details for future charges, so no purchase renews itself and nothing is ever charged automatically. Access simply runs out at the end of its term unless you choose to buy another one.
You can close your account at any time. Closing an account is not a refund request, and the two are handled separately.
6. When access ends
Individual access lasts twelve months from the day you buy it. Buying again before it runs out adds to what is left rather than replacing it, so renewing early never costs you days.
Results you have already generated are yours to keep, permanently. They stay in your account and stay readable after access ends. What ends is the ability to take new paid assessments in that area, retake ones you have already done, and open dimension breakdowns you have not seen yet.
Expiry is not a refund event. An area that has run its twelve months has been delivered in full, and section 2 applies to it from the day of purchase, not from the day it expires.
7. How to ask for a refund
Email alok@calmtree.in from the address on the account, with the date of the purchase and the amount. You do not need to give a reason.
We aim to respond within 15 days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. How long the money takes to appear after that is up to your bank, and is typically five to seven working days.
If you are not happy with the outcome, the complaint route and the grievance officer's details are on the Your Data and Rights page.
